Manchester united lost to Manchester City at the Etihad stadium. Man Utd went into the game with a slender lead of just three points. City defeated United by 1-0 to take the lead at the top of the league owing to their better goal difference.
City scored just before the break to take a half time lead. Vincent Kompany scored from a corner from Silva. After the break Man Utd tried to take the charge but to no avail. City created better chances and could have scored more but for their bad finishing. United once led the table by 8 points but defeat against Wigan and draw against Everton gave City a chance to draw level by winning the derby.
Now its in the hands of Manchester City to win the title after 1968. Hope Utd still have it in them to carry till the end, but its for City to lose.
